Hunt County Pets Alive original goal was to help the other rescues in the area.  That goal is still in the works, as there is strength in unity, but in the past year, HCPA has broadened it's vision and expanded into a full fledge foster based rescue, having up to 100 animals in it's care at any given time.  Imagine the possibilities if there were a facility to help house even more animals in need.

We are currently working with some rescues & organizations in the various states and transferring dogs and puppies from this area to them as they have a much great adoption rate on dogs there.  At times we have transported these dogs ourselves, doing whatever is needed to make this transport agreement be fulfilled.

~WE ARE CURRENTLY A FOSTER BASED RESCUE~

As of November 2018, we reached and surpassed our goal of $12,000 to enable us to purchase a basic shell of a building to house the outside dogs. The support in allowing us to reach that goal was unbelieveable and to do so in less than a year was a total shock. Once things are lined out and cleaned up (old pens have to be moved over to the new building etc), we will have some type of "open house" for everyone to see what their support has provided for these dogs. This transition hopes to be completed by end of December 2018.

THE HERALD BANNER DID A WRITE UP ON OUR BUILDING PROJECT WHEN IT WAS FIRST STARTED.  WE WILL BE INVITING THEM OUT TO DO A FOLLOW UP!
